We were hoping to raise £100 and so far we had reached £56, but then the money from the Chinese cafe (over £150) was donated to our worthy cause. So we have amended out target to £300! Look out for information about a 'Yellow Day' and a 'Yellow Cake Stall.'
We have been asked to take part in the 'Mini Pots of Care' appeal to raise money for Marie Curie nurses. These nurses provide care for people who are terminally ill, allowing them to remain in their own homes. We have planted bulbs in pots and we will care for them until they flower in the Spring. We are hoping to raise sponsor money for looking after our plants and we will also be organising other fundraising activities. We are hoping to raise £100 for this amazing charity.
Y6 interview SF Said
Recently we had a great visit from the author of Varjak Paw: SF Said.
Some of our Year 6 media team have been busy producing a film that shows us the interview he kindly did for us.
SF Said has posted this on his website, have a look at what they produced.
